At Production Lab, we put the production of the future into practice. Here, theory is transformed into real-world solutions as students and researchers work together to develop, test and optimise production systems in a flexible and inspiring learning environment. The lab is designed to strengthen both teaching and research – and to create close links to real-world challenges in industry.
Production Lab is also an active research environment where we conduct empirical studies in areas including:
- Design for manufacturability
- 3D concurrent engineering and simulation of production processes
- Optimisation of engineering work through numerical methods
- Human–robot interaction and intelligent automation
- Integration of CAD systems and additive manufacturing
