DIGI Lab is a microfactory and experimental test environment, where we work with the latest technologies in digitalisation, sustainable production and Industry 4.0. Here, researchers and students come together to test, develop and explore how digital technologies can help create more efficient, sustainable and competitive businesses.

Focus on lean, green and digital production

The purpose of DIGI Lab is to support research, development and teaching based on real-world business challenges and cutting-edge digital technologies.

We work with technologies such as autonomous electric vehicles, edge and cloud computing, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI, ML and DL), materials for 3D hybrid manufacturing, and much more.

At DIGI Lab, we simulate and test solutions that can support companies’ digital transformation and contribute to more resource-efficient and sustainable production.

DIGI Lab is designed to bring people and ideas together. We invite companies, researchers and students to take part in projects, build partnerships and develop new solutions with us.

The lab is equipped with advanced technology, including:

Robotics and robotic arms
Edge computers and PLCs
3D printers and hybrid materials
Telecommunications equipment for technologies such as 4G, 5G and LoRa

We continuously add new equipment to ensure that the lab is kept up to date with the latest technology.
