New PhD course in life cycle, cost assessment and new digital green lean business development

Michail Beliatis and his research group at BTECH are joining forces with international partners to develop training content on life cycle, cost analysis of products and new business processes. This course will be aimed at PhD students as well as industry professionals.

The training material will be developed under the framework of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) RawMaterials project EPICENTRE.

Bringing together more than 300 leading industrial companies, universities and research organisations from 20 countries, EIT RawMaterials is one of the largest consortia in the world using support tools to strengthen collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, start-ups and innovative solutions at all stages of the product life cycle, from exploration, extraction and processing to substitution, recycling and the circular economy.

The project will be implemented by international partners:

  • Riga Technical University (Latvia)
  • TalTech (Estonia)
  • Lulea University of Technology (Sweden)
  • Aarhus University (Denmark)
  • The Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute

The project started in January 2024 and will run for three years.
