The Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) is situated in the city of Herning in the western part of Denmark and offers Bachelor's and Master's programmes in engineering, business economics and management - all at the same institution.
Our study programmes are based on interaction across professional boundaries as well as close interaction with students and the surrounding business community. Furthermore, all the study programmes have an innovative and international perspective.
The Department of Business Development and Technology was founded in 1995 as the Herning Institute of Business Administration and Technology - HIBAT for short. 1 August 2006, HIBAT merged with Aarhus University, and HIBAT was changed to AU-IBT. 1 June 2011, the name was changed once again, this time to AU Herning.
