The Concept Development Lab contains equipment and machines for the design and development of product concepts and prototypes. Examples of equipment are:
DIGI Lab is a micro-factory testbed and playground. The focus of DIGI Lab is to ‘test lean and green digitalisation’ using state-of-the-art technology such as autonomous electric vehicles, edge and cloud computing, IIoT, robotics, ERP, CRM, digital 5-axis micro CNC, AI / ML / DL, blockchains, 3D hybrid manufacturing materials and much more to support and promote digital, lean and green factories of the future.
The purpose of the DIGI Lab is to support the development, research and teaching of real business scenarios based on disruptive digital technologies.
Drone technology is transforming the way companies do business. Our research and development activities cover creating innovative applications of drone technology for the energy, maritime and security sectors, and the lab activities are making significant contributions towards building the European drone ecosystem.
The Multi-Business Innovation Technology Lab (MBIT Lab) research focuses on how business models can be reconfigured and designed to facilitate, analyse and measure green business model innovation – in real time – by using advanced business model innovation tools, e.g. Green Beeboard, Green Beestar and Green Business Model Innovation within a Digitalised Green Business Lab.
In the Production Lab, tomorrow’s engineers learn how to apply basic principles to design global and sustainable production networks. Practice and theory go hand in hand, and the focus is on completing real projects – particularly in companies located in the central and western part of Jutland.
PROTO* Lab is a digital technology makers community place. As a research lab, it is a pedagogical place for community building through technology making. It facilitates ‘prototyping as inquiry’ using open-source hardware and software. We will demonstrate prototypes of varying fidelities, types and scales from student projects for business development and for maker community building.
SENSEMI – Sixth Generation Communications Sensors and Machine Intelligence – aims at creating an evolving interdisciplinary technological infrastructure to capture and analyse multi-vertical knowledge generation.
SENSEMI has achieved the capacity to capture people’s emotions and analyse these emotions’ influence on decision-making and involvement in a communicative environment.
SENSEMI is a progressive concept and capitalises on the future technologies such as 6G and AI to enhance its performance and capacity.
The Extended Reality and Robotics (xR²) Lab focuses on the role of virtual, augmented and mixed reality (VR/AR/MR=eXtended Reality) in training, education and robotics.
