Exchange students

Information for incoming exchange students

Incoming exchange students are students from a foreign institution who study at BTECH for one or two semesters according to a bilateral agreement between the students' home institution and Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University. On this page, you can read more about the different courses and how to apply.

Please note that teaching takes place at BTECH in Herning

Step-by-step application instructions

  1. If you are interested in studying at BTECH as an exchange student for one or two semesters, contact the International Office at your home institution. Your institution will then nominate you for an exchange stay at BTECH. If the nomination is accepted, you apply through the online application system.
  2. From BTECH's course list for exchange students, choose the courses you wish to attend.
  3. Check with your local authorities concerning health insurance forms or EU Health Insurance Card, and read the Campus Herning Pre-arrival Guide for more information.
  4. In the Pre-arrival Guide, you can, among other things, read about residence permit and health insurance for EU/EEA citizens, Nordic citizens and citizens of non-EU countries. If you are not a citizen of the country in which you live, but have a different status such as permanent citizenship or refugee status, please contact the International Office at your home institution. It is very important that you have valid documents before travelling to Denmark.
