Industry 4.0 – Internet of Things

Does your company need to develop a product or service, but lack the resources to develop a working prototype based on relevant technologies? Industry 4.0 – Internet of Things focuses on turning ideas into physical prototypes. That means that the students in close collaboration with the client and the end users/customers will be developing working prototypes that can help further the development of ideas and products.

Industry 4.0 offers projects within Internet of Things, monitored production systems and consumer products where data are collected by a microcontroller from the decentralised systems and sent wirelessly to a central server that performs big data mining/data analytics and is capable of assessing the system and sending back information about corrective action to the decentralised controls, for instance through statistical analyses or machine learning.

Examples of projects: Vibration analysis of a production machine. Indoor climate monitoring of an office environment.
