Professor from AU Herning is Editor-in-Chief of new journal
Professor Benjamin Sovacool from AU Herning will be Editor-in-Chief of the new journal Energy Research & Social Science.
Professor Benjamin Sovacool will serve as Editor-in-Chief for the new journal Energy Research & Social Science, which is dedicated to examining the relationship between energy systems and society. The journal aims to cover a range of topics revolving around the intersection of energy technologies, fuels and resources on the one hand, and social processes and influences on the other. This will also entail research on topics such as communities of energy users, people affected by energy production, social institutions, customs, traditions, behaviours and policies.
- If society’s energy problems go beyond technology and economics – if they are in part ethical, political, social and behavioural – then we urgently need new ways of understanding these complex, and often hidden, social dimensions of the global energy system. Human beings are responsible for consuming energy services and for global climate change in general. So, comprehending human beings is vital for designing truly sustainable energy systems for our species and the planet, says Professor Benjamin Sovacool.
Behind the new journal is Elsevier, a provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services.
