No less than 103 people have applied for the Economics and Business Administration programmes and 133 people have applied for the Bachelor of Engineering programmes. The latter constitutes an increase of 33 per cent compared to 2015.

Deputy Head of Department Jan Laursen expresses great satisfaction with the number of applicants:

”An overall increase in first priority applicants of roughly 13 per cent for our Bachelor’s degree programmes is more than we dared hope for,” says Jan Laursen and adds:

”There has been considerable focus from many sides on getting young people to choose the programmes with the greatest employment prospects - and it seems this message has reached the applicants. A 33 per cent increase in the number of applicants for the Bachelor of engineering programmes is particularly encouraging - and close to the status quo for the economics and business administration programmes is also very satisfactory.”

Although the student intake at the Department of Business Development and Technology in Herning is quite high, Jan Laursen points out that there are still places available at the degree programmes.

Bachelor’s degree admissions for first priority applications

Including lower priority applicants, 658 people have applied for a degree programme at the department - an increase of no less than 33 per cent compared to 2015.

Additionally, 44 people have opted to apply for the Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics programme as their first priority (63 in total).

The final admission figures will be available at the end of July.
